Scandent Solutions Expands Operations in India
Launches Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Innovation Centre, Helping Customers Transform Their Process of Innovation
Bangalore, India May 2, 2006: Scandent Solutions Ltd., one of the largest knowledge-based IT and BPO firms in the world, today announced the launch of its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Innovation Centre in Bangalore, India. The Centre will offer a wide range of PLM solutions and services to the automotive, hi-tech and consumer packaged goods sectors.
The state-of-the-art facility will serve as a knowledge repository of learning gleaned from Scandent’s numerous worldwide customer engagements and new innovative frameworks developed through these engagements. The best practices in PLM will be replicated for the existing and prospective customers.

Scandent’s creation of a PLM Innovation Centre (PIC) is a significant milestone in moving the company’s services higher up on the value chain. More than 150 PLM consultants from Scandent are currently engaged in supporting leading customers in the automotive and manufacturing industry. Seventy of these professionals will be based at the PIC.
The global market for PLM software and services is expected to grow by a compound annual growth rate of almost 10 percent through 2007 to more than US$12.4 billion, according to Daratech.
