Cambridge Solutions Ltd expands US BPO Presence and Service Capabilities

  • Major New Accounts Enhance Growth Opportunities and Bring in Over US $10 Million (Rs. 465 Million) in Annualized Revenue

Bangalore, India – October 30th, 2006: Cambridge Solutions Ltd. (“Cambridge”), one of the leading knowledge-based IT and BPO firms in the world, announced today a significant broadening of its network with the opening of four new branch offices, the addition of major new clients adding over Rs 465 million (US $10 million) in annualized revenue, and the expansion of staff and service capabilities. The four new office locations in the United States include Columbus, Ohio; Baltimore, Maryland; Concord, California; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

The new branch office in Columbus, Ohio, will make Cambridge the second largest provider of workers’ compensation claims management services in the state. In commenting on the expansion, Wesley O’Brien, president, Cambridge US BPO operations notes, “Our multi-line service offerings and our new Ohio presence means that any of our clients with exposure in Ohio can have a single source claims management provider.”

A key factor in the expanded presence was the decision by a leading Ohio-based consumer products company to have Cambridge provide dedicated and highly customized workers’ compensation claims management services.  In addition to this major national account, Cambridge will also serve many other major US companies that have locations in Ohio.

The new Baltimore, Maryland, branch opens up another key market for Cambridge in the region. The primary client currently served by the new office is one of the nation’s leading humanitarian organizations. According to O’Brien, “Cambridge is an ideal match for this client because our scope and flexibility meets the unique needs the organization faces in emergency and crisis response.” He added, “That’s also a capability that applies across a broad array of other clients and circumstances.”

The opening of Cambridge’s Concord, California, branch underscores our ever expanding presence in this very important region. Says O’Brien, “the opening of this office and the addition of high-profile client AC Transit signals that we’re quickly gaining important ground in the public entity market in California.”

Cambridge is also pleased to welcome into our growing national network, the new Baton Rouge, Louisiana branch. Adds O’Brien, “Louisiana and the Gulf Coast in general have become so much a part of our national consciousness that we’re proud to be able to serve the businesses there.”
